Commercial Development Manager
We are hiring a Commercial Development Manager for a newly established pharmaceutical company in the Nordics!
Are you ready to help shape the future of a newly established pharmaceutical company with ambitious goals? We are seeking an experienced Commercial Development Manager to introduce innovative pharmaceuticals, as well as generics, OTC, and medical technology products, into the Nordic market. The role will also be key in driving future expansion across Europe.
To succeed in this role, you will need solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a strong understanding of both the market landscape and commercial dynamics. A background in a similar role is highly desirable, especially if you have experience in identifying new products, negotiating deals, and building international partnerships.
This is a hands-on role that covers the entire business development cycle – from assessing market needs and scouting opportunities to structuring partnerships and negotiating agreements. This is a unique opportunity for someone driven by the challenge of building from scratch. The position will initially be part-time on a consultancy basis, with the possibility to develop further as the company evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify pharmaceutical and medical technology products with strong market potential in the Nordics
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with international stakeholders
- Analyse market needs, trends, and opportunities, including shortages and speciality medicines
- Develop and strengthen relationships with suppliers globally, particularly in Europe, India, and the US
- Negotiate agreements, licences, and distribution models that create long-term value
- Expand and maintain a strong international network of relevant stakeholders
- Prepare business cases and financial analyses to support decision-making
- Contribute to shaping strategies that will drive growth across the Nordic region and beyond
About You
- Several years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record from a similar role with documented results
- Strong international network and the ability to build trust across markets
- Skilled negotiator with deep commercial understanding and experience in contracts, partnerships, and distribution models
- Results-driven, proactive, and motivated to deliver measurable results
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency
- Independent, accountable, and comfortable taking initiative in a broad role
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
