Quality Control Specialist

We are now seeking a Quality Control Specialist for a consultancy assignment with our client in Stockholm. In this role, you will be a key contributor to ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and wholesaling operations. As Deputy Responsible Person, you will play an important part in maintaining quality standards and safeguarding patient health.
Your responsibilities will involve interaction with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and local health authorities. The scope of this role includes the authority to act and make decisions in order to meet regulatory requirements and safeguard patient health.
Main responsibilities include:
- Acting as deputy to the Responsible Person, covering during planned and unplanned absences.
- Ensuring compliance with company rules and regulations for wholesaling and GDP.
- Supporting with creation, approval, and maintenance of procedures within the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Handling product quality complaints (PQCs), including reporting to local authorities when required.
- Managing local quality activities related to deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), recalls, self-inspections and audits, change controls, risk management, returns, destructions, counterfeit handling, and serialization.
- Supporting with batch-specific release of vaccines (batch commercialization).
- Maintaining training records and supporting continuous staff training in quality/GDP.
- Supporting reporting of product quality defects to the Medical Products Agency.
- Supporting with quality agreements, e.g., with distributors.
- Participating in quality management reviews and ensuring proper reporting of quality KPIs.
- Supporting other Responsible Persons in the Nordics cluster when needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in Sweden (Apotekare or Receptarie degree).
- Experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within wholesaling and GDP.
- Prior experience as Responsible Person or deputy is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, reliable, and able to follow structured processes.
- Experience with Veeva and SAP is a plus (not required).
- External GDP training is considered an advantage (formal GDP certificate not required).
