Commercial Development Manager - Animal Health
We are hiring a Commercial Development Manager for a newly established Animal Health company in the Nordics!
Are you ready to help shape the future of an ambitious growth company within Animal Health? We are seeking an experienced Commercial Development Manager to introduce innovative veterinary medicinal products, including generics, OTC products and veterinary medical devices, to the Nordic market while contributing to future expansion across Europe. While the primary focus is Animal Health, opportunities within human pharmaceuticals may also be evaluated and developed as part of the company’s long-term growth strategy.
To succeed in this role, you bring solid experience from Animal Health and a strong understanding of the veterinary market landscape and its commercial dynamics. Experience from a similar business development role, including product identification, licensing, distribution agreements and international partnerships, is highly desirable. Experience spanning both Animal Health and human pharmaceuticals is considered a strong advantage.
This is a hands-on position covering the full business development cycle, from market assessment and opportunity scouting to partnership structuring and contract negotiations. As an early addition to the company, you will play a key role in building the business from the ground up. The position is initially part-time, with a clear ambition to transition into a full-time role as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
Identify veterinary medicinal products and related veterinary medical devices with strong market potential in the Nordics
Build and manage strategic partnerships with international stakeholders within the Animal Health sector
Assess and evaluate selected business development opportunities within human pharmaceuticals, where strategically aligned
Analyse market needs, trends, and opportunities within the veterinary market, including shortages and specialty products
Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with global suppliers and partners across key Animal Health markets
Negotiate licensing agreements, distribution models, and commercial partnerships that create long-term value
Expand and maintain a strong international network within Animal Health as well as relevant segments of the human pharmaceutical sector
Prepare business cases and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making
Contribute to shaping strategies that will drive growth across the Nordic region and beyond
About You
Several years of experience in business development within the Animal Health industry
Proven track record from a similar role with documented commercial results
Strong understanding of regulatory and commercial dynamics within the Nordic veterinary market
Experience from both human pharmaceuticals and Animal Health is highly meritorious
Strong international network and the ability to build trust across markets
Skilled negotiator with deep commercial understanding and experience in licensing, contracts, partnerships, and distribution models
Results-driven, proactive, and motivated to deliver measurable outcomes
Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency
Independent, accountable, and comfortable taking initiative in a broad and evolving role
Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
